Desde hace unos años, la fisioterapia y la rehabilitación en los pequeños animales han tomado una relevancia importante en el trabajo diario de profesionales de la fisioterapia animal.
Durante el año 2017, la escuela IACES, escuela de postgrado para fisioterapeutas de las que más años de experiencia tiene en el sector de la formación continuada, nos encarga la representación de la anatomía muscular y ósea de un ejemplar canino. Tras decidir la raza del animal a representar, realizamos un estudio pormenorizado de cada parte del cuerpo para elaborar un turn around en que podamos mostrar y superponer la piel, músculos y huesos de todas las vistas requeridas.
En este caso, el trabajo esta orientado a que el alumnado pueda observar la anatomía y la fisiología y pueda estudiarla con una imagen veraz y agradable.
La elaboración de trabajos de anatomía distinta a la humana siempre es un reto, puesto que los estudios que los ilustradores desarrollamos casi siempre se orientan a elaborar complicadas perspectivas, poses humanas o maquinaria compleja, mientras que los animales han sido elementos permanentes en el arte desde que el primer ser humano pintó una escena de caza en una cueva.
